A rarely-performed collection of short, creepy, pulpy plays with both spooky and funny delights. Inspired by classic episodes from Tales From The Crypt, in addition to horror films such as Halloween, The Fly, Rosemary's Baby (and many, many more ghoulish tales!) this show will be sure to make you laugh one minute and scream the next.
A hybrid adaptation docu-theatre piece based on investigative research at real Insane Clown Posse events, which uses the 2011 documentary by Sean Dunne as its base. On the last night of the 11th Annual Gathering of the Juggalos, a group of Juggalos examine what it means to be a chosen family.
A VERY MERRY UNAUTHORIZED CHILDREN'S SCIENTOLOGY PAGEANT:
A darkly funny and entertaining evening featuring the songs of the Obie Award-winning cult classic. An unforgettable celebration of Kyle Jarrow’s (with material by Alex Timbers) brilliant re-envisioning of a traditional Christmas pageant, which features E-Meters, Xenu, and L. Ron Hubbard’s Dianetics.
THE BED SHOW
A site-specific/site responsive, immersive/participatory talk show about "bed culture" that is half autobiographical and half found-text.
I'M SMILING BECAUSE I'M UNCOMFORTABLE
Why do we eat? Why do we stop eating? This solo autobiographical show travels from early childhood experiences of queerness and lessons on body image to a college eating disorder to the present challenges of eating and living in a human body.
SUPER SHORT SITE SPECIFIC FESTIVAL
Six plays were written and directed in a span of 24 hours (mostly). Hosted by Aunt Linda (played by Anna Rock), as our tour guide, we walked around promenade style starting at 420 Lexington Ave to view each play, literally on the streets of New York.
"Through a combination of Chaplin-esque physical comedy and decidedly well-written prose, [Emma] Howard reveals her own struggles with body image, trauma, and sexuality..."
"Writer, Sean Pollock, building on material from the film, has done exhaustive research and portrays his subjects with sensitivity, kindness, and respect... American Juggalo is an engaging look into a work very from New York City that brings light to the complexities of life for outsiders of all kinds."
"Super impressed with how it turned out. Having been to 10 gatherings and seeing all different types of Juggalos... I have to say I dig it and it's pretty accurate... we all come from different walks of life, each has our own trials and tribulations to deal with..."
"Sean [Pollock] and Drew [Weinstein] have created a very different kind of show - documentary, emotional, exciting, confusing... I left feeling deeply moved. My mind abuzz and my belief in their passion confirmed."
